Ume Boys Plum with Sansho Pepper – 65g
Made with ripe Nanko ume plums and aromatic budo sansho pepper.
This sauce combines salt-pickled umeboshi with shiso and Japanese rice oil, creating a mellow balance of tartness and saltiness accented by the refreshing aroma of sansho.
Enjoy it as a dip for meat, a sauce for fish, or a spread on toasted baguette—it pairs beautifully with many dishes. Simply mix it into freshly cooked rice for an exquisite ume rice.
The ume plums are Nanko ume from Kishu, the sansho is budo sansho from Wakayama, and both the shiso and rice oil are domestically produced in Japan.
